Your Look: Prom dresses, tuxedo tips, prom hairstyles, finding a celebrity style, cool prom accessories, and more!
1. What's your must-have accessory for prom?
A flowy shawl with delicate beading A rhinestone bling-bling necklace A simple strand of pearls A tiara -- of course!
2. Your dream prom date is:
Heath Ledger Ben Affleck Ryan Philippe Prince William
3. Where do you usually shop?
Vintage stores and flea markets. Designer stores, baby! The salesgirls at Prada know me by name. I stick to a few tried and true shops -- brands like J.Crew, Banana Republic, and the Gap. I'll shop anywhere, anytime, but I prefer ultra-feminine shops like Anthropolgie.
4. If you could be a heroine in a blockbuster film, which movie would you pick?
Titanic. I love a good cry. Chicago. Lights, camera, action! Breakfast at Tiffany's. I can watch it again and again. Pretty Woman. I'm a sucker for happy endings.
5. Your idea of the perfect prom night goes something like this:
A picnic in the park with your date, dancing, and then straight to the beach for a long walk on the sand. You start the Congo line at the prom, throw the wildest after-prom bash, and don't get home until the next morning. A nice dinner before the prom, a few slow dances with your guy, and brunch with your friends the next day. You and your date are elected King and Queen and live happily ever after.
6. How will you wear your hair on the big night?
Long and flowy, with delicate flower pins woven through the strands. Pumped up and wild. I'm into those chunky, wild ringlets Britney made famous. Sleek and sophisticated or pulled back in a low ponytail. A major updo with wavy tendrils.
7. It's 3 hours before the prom. What are you doing?
Relaxing in my room with yoga tapes and incense. Prepping at the salon, where else? It takes time to get this gorgeous. Tidying up my room before my friends arrive. Rehearsing my Prom Queen acceptance speech. A girl has to be prepared.
8. The DJ at the prom is taking requests. You:
Hand him a note with the name of your favorite slow song. Scream the "The Ketchup Song" at the top of your lungs. Go outside for a breath of fresh air. You're exhausted. Ask your date to make the request. Why should you have to do all the work?
9. You've been planning for prom ever since:
You and your guy became an official item. Last year, when you spotted the perfect fire-red, midriff-baring dress. You joined the prom committee. You were nominated for Prom Queen.
